Goalkeeper for the Senegalese national team Edouard Mendy denied speculation that the Moroccan international would be an attacker Brahim Diaz he deliberately missed a penalty in the final seconds of regulation time in the Africa Cup of Nations final.

The Turin court rejected Juventus’ appeal against an arbitration decision that forced the club to pay 9.7 million euros to Portuguese striker Al-Nasr from Saudi Arabia to the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports it.

In 2024, the arbitration court sentenced Juventus to pay Ronaldo 9.7 million euros, which the player was initially supposed to receive as severance pay after moving to England’s Manchester United. After the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Juventus agreed with Ronaldo to postpone the payment of his salary in the amount of 19.6 million euros. A further agreement was concluded on bonuses for this amount until 31 July 2021, which were never paid, after which the Portuguese sued the club.
