“It’s always good to see him.” Real Sociedad responded to Karpin’s words about possible work at the club

The press service of Real Sociedad told Match TV that the head coach of the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, is a legend of the club from San Sebastian, who is always welcome to see in Spain.

The Russian coach attended the match of the 20th round of the Spanish championship between Real Sociedad and Barcelona (2:1). In a post-match interview for a Spanish channel, Karpin did not rule out the possibility of leading Real Sociedad in the future.

— Karpin attended the match with Barcelona, ​​after which he expressed his readiness to work for Real Sociedad in the future. How do the club evaluate these words?

“Karpin is a real legend of our club, we are always glad to see him in San Sebastian,” said the club’s press service to Match TV.

During his football career, Karpin played for Real Sociedad in 1994–1996 and 2002–2005.

In November, the specialist left the post of head coach of Dynamo. He took charge of the Blue and Whites in the summer of 2025, signing a three-year contract. At the same time, he combined work in the club and the Russian national team. Karpin’s contract with the RFU runs until the summer of 2028.
