Former chairman of the board of directors of the Moscow football club Lokomotiv Sergei Lipatovhaving pleaded guilty in the murder-for-hire case, was seeking artists for $200,000 USA. This is stated in the indictment.

The victim Fominov was shot dead in 2002 in the Agrarnik dacha cooperative in the Odintsovo district. When the victim’s car stopped, another accomplice fired at least 4 gunshots at the victim from inside the car. He died from his injuries.

The accused acted together with a former employee Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexey Chebotarev, ex-serviceman Pavel Khristev, former employee of the 5th department of the RUOP Leonid Rakogon, as well as a certain Oleg Mikhalev. According to investigators, all these people received money from Lipatov for the murder of the director of the law firm Inyurconsult, advisor to the head of the Ministry of Railways RF Alessandra Fominova.

Lipatov, in addition to his leadership position at Lokomotiv, served as chairman of the board of directors of Transtelecom and was a co-owner of Mezhtrustbank.
