Former coach of Dinamo Moscow Valeri Gazzaev will join the football team’s advisory board. The general director of the white and blue team told Sport Express Paolo Pivovarov.

“Valery Georgievich is a figure of our football, he wrote his name in history. He also worked at Dynamo. By decision of the chairman of the advisory council, he will soon join this body,” Pivovarov said.

Dynamo’s coach is Roland Gusev.

Gazzaev is 71 years old. He served as Dynamo’s head coach in 1991-1993 and 1999-2001, leading the team to a bronze medal in the Russian Championship (1992). Gazzaev is one of the most titled Russian coaches in terms of the number of medals and cups won in Russian history, as well as the only Russian coach under whose leadership the European club trophy was won – in 2005 CSKA won the Cup of UEFA. In addition, the army team, led by Gazzaev, won the Russian championship three times and the national cup four times. Gazzaev also coached Alania Vladikavkaz, with whom he became Russian champions in 1995, and led the country’s national team.

In the first part of the World Cup – Russian Premier League, Dynamo scored 21 points in 18 games and ranks 10th in the table.
