Midfielder Anton Zinkovsky is ready to fight for a place in Spartak, Igor Osinkin, head coach of Krylia Sovetov, told Metaratings.ru.

On Thursday, Spartak announced the transfer of 26-year-old Zinkovsky from the Samara Wings of the Soviets, the contract with him is calculated until May 31, 2027.

– Can we say that Anton has reached such a level that it was impossible to keep him in the “Wings” and he is ready to fight for the highest places.

— Yes, you can say that. Previously, it was very difficult to keep him in the FNL. We understood that he was already a player for the Premier League in terms of level. In the end, he stayed with us. I think that now he is leaving already at a different level of readiness after a successful season, as a candidate for the national team. Psychologically, this is another Anton. I am sure he must fight for a place in the squad, for this he now has everything.

– But on the left in the attack he has a serious competitor – Promes.

– Yes, we almost never used Anton in other places, except as a left striker. But now it is not clear what scheme Spartak is going to play. Promes himself also played part of the matches as an attacking midfielder. Now these questions should worry not me, but the head coach of Spartak.

– Do Wings need to acquire a direct replacement for Zinkovsky, or is Pinyaev already able to fully replace him?

– We could do with strengthening, but we expect Pinyaev to be very useful for us this season.

Zinkovsky has been playing for Wings of the Soviets since 2019. Last season, he became the best assistant of the RPL, giving 9 assists in 30 matches. He also scored 4 goals.
