“I was depressed” – Azmun about the first months in Russia

Bayer forward Serdar Azmun shared his memories of his first months in Russia.
— I was depressed. It was very difficult, my parents and friends were far from me, as well as my horses. I was alone. But I’m Iranian and I wasn’t afraid,” the Bayer official website quoted Azmun as saying.
Azmun moved to Russia in 2013, signing a contract with Rubin.
Azmoun has been playing for Zenit since 2019. As part of the team, he became a four-time champion of Russia, won the Cup and twice – the Super Cup of the country. The forward played 104 matches for Zenit, scored 62 goals and made 17 assists.
