Semak said that he is negotiating a contract extension with Zenit
The head coach of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” Sergei Semak said that he was in talks to extend the contract with the club.
In May, Zenit activated a clause on the extension of the current contract with Semak, which was signed in 2020 under the 2 + 1 scheme.
– While the extension option is in effect. Regarding the new contract, we are in contact with the club, General Director Alexander Medvedev. There are options proposed by the club, they are in the process of discussion, – the Match TV website quotes the coach.
Semak has headed Zenit since 2018. Under the guidance of a specialist, Petersburgers won the Russian championship four times in a row.
