Lokomotiv striker Jan Kukhta joined Sparta Prague on loan, the press service of the Moscow team reports.
“The player will play for Sparta next season, the Prague club will have a priority right to buy out the Kukhta transfer,” the statement says.
Earlier, the sports director of Lokomotiv, Thomas Zorn, said that the Czech would not return to the location of the Moscow team, and also noted that this decision was not related to FIFA’s policy and permission to suspend contracts with Russian clubs. The player will remain in the Czech Republic due to personal family circumstances.
The 25-year-old striker moved to Lokomotiv from Czech Slavia in January 2022. Last season, the striker played 11 matches for the Moscow club, scored three goals and gave two assists. Kukhta’s contract with Lokomotiv runs until June 30, 2026.
