Bayern have abandoned the idea of transferring Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window, reports Sport1.
According to the source, such a decision was made, as the transfer would have destroyed the structure of the Munich team’s payroll.
On Thursday, AS reported that Ronaldo could continue his career at Bayern if Polish striker Robert Lewandowski left the team.
Ronaldo returned to Manchester United in August 2021. Last season, he scored 24 goals in 39 games for Manchester United, with three assists to his credit.
Bayern are the reigning champions of Germany, Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League last season.
