Why do we need such football if there is no Russia in it? How FIFA and UEFA should respond

The Russian Premier League should turn into Tortuga.

Decisions by international football bodies to suspend the contracts of foreign players with Russian clubs and to create special accounts in which funds from transactions with our teams can be arbitrarily frozen and unfrozen force us to invent countermeasures.

Appeals to international courts are possible only as part of such measures. To rely entirely on them means to rely on the very system that, by imposing measures against us, has begun to self-destruct.

The system, as said, destroys itself. And the meaning of our actions should not be its preservation, but the protection of our own interests. Like a world without Russia, we don’t need football that excludes Russia from itself. If only because the system that behaves in this way in our relation is a priori unfair. It shows that it is ready to remain stable at the expense of one of its constituent parts – by arbitrary choice. And here, as with security: it is either indivisible, or every man for himself.

In what exactly is the existing system going to live at the expense of Russia? Isn’t it obvious? Take a look at the meaning of allowing foreigners to suspend contracts in Russia. No one forces them to sit without work on welfare after that. They are allowed to freely leave the Russian championship for employment in others. That is, foreign clubs without selection and financial efforts are completed at our expense. They just take our players. For now, Legionnaires. But where is the guarantee that they will not allow themselves to continue to take away Russian football players for free in this way, as the NHL once did with our talents in hockey?

We must answer this based on the fact that contracts as a system that takes into account the interests of both parties no longer exist. Our task is not to coerce (it is impossible) to retain the labor force, but to allow it to freely and profitably flow to Russia across the border. And do not prevent her from leaving Russia.

To do this, we need to consistently remove all restrictions, and the limit on foreign players here is just a narrow part of the front on which our International Football Cancellation Culture must operate. Russian football for some time should become a kind of Tortuga – a free pirate republic the size of the largest state in the world.

To begin with, all Russian football players playing abroad should receive the right to freely and freely return to their homeland. “In the interest of the safety of the players and their families.” But this is just a start. The next step is to open our borders to everyone.

Why do we have to follow the rule of two transfer periods, winter and summer? The window for transfers should be open all year round with the only restriction: on the territory of Russia, any player has the right to be registered for no more than two clubs during the sports season. Any players who wish to come here from abroad are welcome without compensation to clubs from “unfriendly” countries. Suppose that after Promes, who willingly returns to Russia after a vacation, the conditional Zuma, the offender of cats, also comes here. And any other players recognized there as “villains” – provided that they will not commit new villainies in Russia.

Only short contracts should be signed: no long-term strategies can be built with either coaches or players in our football now anyway. People in Russia can only be held by interest, no matter how long it lasts. “Come in – don’t be afraid, go away – don’t cry.” And since this interest is primarily monetary, we need a sensationally low tax rate for any football activity. It should rattle around the world through word of mouth channels: “Have you heard that in Russia the tax rate is one and a half percent? And they pay clearly!

There should be no barriers here for those wishing to start a new football project. For example, create a team. Russia should no longer be subject to financial fair play. Let those who want to spend on football spend as much as they can afford and do not report it to the officials of Čeferin: they are now exactly the same enemies for us as the officials of Infantino.

We are now and in the near future – de facto not part of international football. There are no longer such horror stories with which we could be kept in obedience. We have already been removed from everything, the conditions for a total robbery of football Russia have already been created. What else should we be afraid of? Only that if we resist, they will extend our suspension? But this is precisely the subject of that great bargaining into which we must enter. The very system that we need to start destroying on our part disqualifies us.

Threats to those foreigners who decide to join our “pirate republic”? Yes, they will certainly appear at first. It is clear that everything that happens in Russian football will be outlawed by the rest of the world. Those who dare to come here will try to punish. This can be done if there are only a few visitors. What about dozens? And hundreds? And when will someone really famous come to Russia? Gradually, it will become more and more difficult and less profitable for the “civilized world” to persecute those who have contacted Russia. It will be more profitable for them to negotiate. About a new system, the creators of which will no longer be able to engage in football cannibalism.
