“The first week at Zenit was not easy” – Bakaev
The newcomer of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” Zelimkhan Bakaev admitted that he encountered difficulties in the first week in the team.
The midfielder moved to the club on June 15, signing a three-year contract with the possibility of an extension for another season.
– How is my adaptation at Zenit going? To be honest, the first week was not easy, mutual understanding was a little lame. But every day it gets better and better.
It’s not difficult for me to adapt to the game of Zenit, I can play both control and fast attacks, 25-year-old Bakaev told Match TV.
Bakaev scored the first goal for Zenit on Saturday, scoring in the PARI Premier Cup match against Sochi. The meeting took place in St. Petersburg and ended with the victory of the “blue-white-blue” in the penalty shootout (1:1, 4:2).
