Swedish striker of Spartak Moscow Jordan Larsson, who plays on loan for the Swedish AIK, said he was pleased with the decision of the International Football Federation (FIFA) on the legionnaires of Russian clubs, noting the absence of the need to return to Russia.

In early April, the 25-year-old Swede took advantage of FIFA’s permission and suspended the contract with Spartak until June 30. FIFA later announced that foreign players would have the right to suspend their employment contracts with clubs from Russia until June 30, 2023.

– For me, this is a positive decision, given that I have only one year left on my contract with Spartak. That way I don’t have to go back.

I’ve had a wonderful time here playing for AIK. But what lies ahead is yet to be decided. It’s better to ask this question to my agent,” Larsson said, quoted by Expressen.

Earlier, Larsson publicly announced his desire to terminate the contract with Spartak, calculated until the summer of 2023.
