President of “Torpedo” Maslov appreciated the prospects of Alaev at the head of the RPL
Denis Maslov, president of the Moscow football club Torpedo, told RT that Alexander Alaev will cope with the job as acting president of the Russian Premier League (RPL)
– We are well acquainted with Alaev from our work in the FNL. He already has quite a solid experience. Let’s not forget that he not only held leadership positions in the RFU and FNL, but also contributed to the development of beach football in the country. And the age of Alexander Alexandrovich does not bother me at all, because I myself headed the club at the age of 26. Trusting a person is absolutely normal. I am sure he will cope with his duties,” said Maslov.
On June 27, it became known that Ashot Khachaturyants left the post of president of the RPL. The early termination of the powers of the 54-year-old functionary was approved by the general meeting of the league clubs.
Alaev was appointed acting head of the RPL.
