Forward “Orenburg” Vladimir Obukhov suspension for doping extended by six months.
The attacker was disqualified FIFA for six months on July 19th of last year for a violation of the anti-doping regulation in 2013. The suspension expired on December 2nd.
However, in the spring, the World Anti-Doping Agency filed an appeal with the Sports Arbitration Court, where it won. In this regard, the disqualification of the 30-year-old Obukhov was extended by six months.
Obukhov confirmed that his suspension had been extended.
As you can see, the suspension has been extended. But I have already suffered a lot. I don’t want to relive it all over again. They gave and gave. WADA they felt they were giving me little, so they decided to extend it.
What are the plans? I will continue to play. In the autumn I am already returning to Orenburg and can start training. How did the club react? They supported me, which I am very grateful for. They behaved like human beings. They understand it’s not my fault. They didn’t break the contract and said they couldn’t wait to return.
