Former Spartak Moscow striker Georgy Melkadze believes that the expenses for the second team of the Red-Whites were not so impressive as to close it.
Spartak-2 was created in 2013. In the last season of the Olympus-Championship of the FNL, the team finished on the 7th line. On May 23, the leadership of the “red-whites” announced the closure of the project.
– Spartak has an unusual tendency associated with pupils. You left six months ago, now Bakaev, plus you disbanded Spartak-2. This is bad?
It’s normal for people to leave. This is football life. But the closure of Spartak-2 is wrong. Because not much money was required for the existence of the team. If you take the salary of big players, then this is probably 5-10 percent of their annual income. In theory, they could even chip in and save the team. I didn’t understand this solution at all. There are many people from Spartak-2 who play in the Premier League. So this, of course, is surprising, ”Melkadze said in an interview with RB Sport.
