Former Moscow Spartak striker Georgy Melkadze does not consider Zelimkhan Bakaev’s decision to move to Zenit a mistake.

Bakaev officially left the Moscow club on June 1, two weeks later, the 25-year-old footballer signed a contact with the Blue-White-Blues as a free agent.

– The loudest transition of the summer – Bakaev to Zenit. What will he be like in St. Petersburg?

– Spartak seems to have abandoned it. So what to do? You have to earn a living, you want to play football in the best teams. And why would he sacrifice such offers because of something or someone? I hope the fans will accept it. And he will be all right. Will he put Malcolm on the bench? It will be hard. But if it will be used under attack, this is an interesting story, – Melkadze is quoted by RB Sport.
