AIK President Robert Falk said that the club would like to sign a contract with the former Spartak striker Jordan Larsson, but is unlikely to be able to afford it because of the player’s financial requests.
On Monday, June 27, the 25-year-old Swede left Spartak, having agreed to terminate the contract by mutual agreement of the parties. The striker spent the final part of last season at AIK on loan, which expires on June 30.
“At the moment, I don’t know where Jordan will continue his career,” Falk is quoted by RB Sport. “It’s best to talk to him personally or to his agent here. Of course we would like Larsson to stay at AIK, he is a great player. But I don’t think we have that much money.
Do you think Jordan will ask for a lot of money?
– I think so. And we won’t be able to pay that much.
Earlier, FIFA announced that foreign players will have the right to suspend their employment contracts with clubs from Russia until June 30, 2023.
