Russian coach Igor Kolyvanov considers it not the best idea to move 29-year-old midfielder of the Russian national team Magomed Ozdoev to the Saudi Arabian championship.
On June 1, Ozdoev’s contract with Zenit St. Petersburg ended, after which the player became a free agent. Earlier there were reports that the management of the Al-Hilal club, the reigning champion of Saudi Arabia, is in talks with Magomed. The Russian himself also has options with other Asian clubs.
– Ozdoev is the main player of the national team, and in the recent past he played at the base of Zenit. It’s probably hard to go to Europe now. In Saudi Arabia, the championship is not very strong. Going there at such a young age is not the best option. Maybe there is a financial issue on the agenda, I don’t know. It’s up to him to decide, – said Kolyvanov. “Gazeta.Ru”.
The midfielder has been playing for Zenit since February 2018, he became the champion of the RPL four times, won the Cup and twice the Super Cup of the country.
