Lukoil is no longer led by Alekperov and Fedun, they have been withdrawn. Nothing unexpected. But they seem to remain billionaires, as well as co-owners of Spartak. And this particular club could be a good choice for any new owner, including Evraz. After all, VTB and VEB (even after the formal transfer CSKA another company) will not give up two Moscow clubs. Investing in Lokomotiv? Better in Spartak, it’s much more popular, if you win you become a hero for millions.
But if Fedun and his civil wife stay in the club, which is cheerfully run, and new people arrive, Ragnarok begins. It is not clear who is responsible. Who is responsible for what? The holy war for football history is very dangerous. And buying the whole of Spartak is a crazy, expensive, premature deal. Granovskaya, who has left Chelsea, will be the first to tell Roman Arkadyevich not to make mistakes and not to invest a lot of money in Spartak.
This is only who will then save RPL, if everyone disperses and people indifferent to football turn out to be in key positions in large companies? Abramovich definitely loves the game, maybe he was watching the same CSKA. But Chelsea are much more attractive. Another thing is that Lukoil doesn’t want to miss out on the cheap “red-white”.
