The goal that led the Wales national team to the 2022 FIFA World Cup was recorded on Gareth Bale, taking away the authorship from the Ukrainian Andriy Yarmolenko, according to the Welsh national team’s Twitter account.

Wales defeated Ukraine in the final of the play-offs for the right to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (1:0). The goal was scored in the 34th minute: Bale filed a free-kick, the ball hit Yarmolenko’s head and flew into the goal.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will take place from November 21 to December 18. Wales will compete at the 2022 World Cup in Group B with England, the USA and Iran.
