Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeneß has commented on reports that Barcelona have improved their transfer offer for Robert Lewandowski.
— I don’t know anything about the new proposal. But from the current situation at the club, from what I’ve heard in several conversations, Barcelona may not bother anymore.
This issue is not for me to decide, but the club made it very clear that Lewandowski needed to work out the contract to the end, ”said Hoeneß.
Lewandowski has been playing for the Munich club since 2014. As part of Bayern, he played 374 matches and scored 344 goals.
Earlier, the striker openly declared his desire to change the team, but the Munich team insist that the football player must work out the contract, which is designed for another year, to the end.
