RPL announced the date of the presidential elections

The date of the presidential elections in the Russian Premier League (RPL) has become known.
As reported in the League’s Telegram channel, the general meeting of clubs will hold an extraordinary meeting on August 16, at which a new head of the RPL will be elected. In accordance with the charter, only members of the Premier League can nominate candidates for the presidency.
On Monday, the general meeting of RPL clubs approved the early termination of the powers of Ashot Khachaturyants as head of the league. Secretary General of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Alaev was elected as acting president of the RPL.
