The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin has signed a new contract with Rostov, informs the official website of the Don club.
The new agreement with the 53-year-old specialist runs until May 2026. Also, a similar contract was signed with the club by his assistant Viktor Onopko.
– Repeatedly spoke about his warm attitude to the club and the city. I feel most comfortable here. I thank the management of Rostov for their trust, we have a lot of work ahead of us,” said Karpin.
Karpin headed Rostov in 2017, and in July last year he was appointed head coach of the Russian national team. On August 2, the Donetsk team announced Karpin’s departure, but already on March 10, 2022, the specialist returned to the Rostov club.
Karpin’s contract with the Russian national team expires at the end of 2022.
