Former midfielder of the Lokomotiv system Andrea Chukanov said that his former teammate Taras Mikhalik once put on iron boots before training after a conflict with forward Umar Niass.
– Michalik had boots with iron spikes – just in case someone pissed him off.
– Wow.
– Once Taras had a fight with Niass – Mikhalik came to the next training session in those same boots with iron spikes. It’s good that (the head coach of the Miodrag team) Bozovic noticed this in time and put them on the same team. I had to change to normal boots. The funny thing is that after some time during training, I accidentally stepped on Michalik’s foot. I told him: “I hope you won’t run after me with iron spikes, like after Niass.” He laughed and promised not to wear it,” Chukanov said in an interview with Sport24.
Chukanov played for the Lokomotiv youth team in 2013–2015. The 26-year-old is now a free agent.
