The Russian Football Union (RFU) has issued permits to the stadiums of the Voronezh “Fakel” and “Orenburg”, which allows them to hold matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL), informs the official website of the organization.
On Thursday, June 30, the RFU Commission issued certificates of compliance with the requirements of the Football Stadiums standard of the first category to the Central Stadium of Trade Unions in Voronezh and the Gazovik Arena in Orenburg. Thus, both clubs will be able to play in the RPL in the 2022/23 season.
Fakel took second place in the First League last season and went directly to the RPL. Orenburg outplayed Ufa in the play-offs and also earned a promotion.
In the first round of the RPL, Orenburg will host Wings of the Soviets on July 16 at home. Fakel will play its first home match on July 30 against Dynamo Moscow.
