Offsides at the 2022 World Cup will be determined using a three-dimensional model
A semi-automatic video assistant referee (VAR) system for determining offsides will be used at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, according to the press service of FIFA.
The technology will allow you to determine a possible offside position in a matter of seconds. The system uses 12 special cameras in the stadium to track the position of the ball and up to 29 points for each player, and then creates a 3D model.
The World Cup in Qatar will take place from 21 November to 18 December.
