Sochi defender Rodrigao spoke about his success in learning the Russian language.
The 26-year-old Brazilian has been with the club since 2021.
Joaozinho and Noboa, who speak Russian well, help me a lot. I specifically ask them to speak Russian with me more often in order to progress faster. There are many favorite words: “right”, “left”, “forward”, “back”, “how are you”, “thank you”, “please” … I especially like – “excellent”. If the coach says “excellent” to me, then I did everything right.
It can be hard to remember a word, but I understand when others say it. Club employees always help me with the translation of Russian words, teach me funny phrases. For example: “I stole it, I drank it, I went to jail – romance!” The guys sometimes make fun of me, but I’m already starting to understand these jokes better, to feel the language, – quotes the words of Rodrigao “Championship”.
Last season, the Brazilian played 31 matches in all competitions, scored 3 goals and made one assist.
