Khimki midfielder Philip Dagerstol’s agent Per Jonsson told RB Sport that the Moscow Region club had not terminated the contract with the football player, and also noted that everything was fine with his client in Russia.

Dagerstol suspended his contract with Khimki in March and moved to Swedish Norrköping. The football player has been playing for the Russian club since 2021. A member of the Khimki supervisory board, Roman Teryushkov, told Match TV that the club would terminate the contract with the player.

– Philip’s contract with Khimki has not been terminated. But I would like to note that no one from Khimki called me. Philip talked with the club, discussed his future. According to FIFA rules, he can suspend the contract for a year, and we listen to FIFA rules. Understand that everything that happens is connected only with FIFA rules and well-known events. Before it all started, Philip was happy at Khimki.

– Dagerstol stays for another year at Norrköping?

– Not. I do not think so. He wants to play somewhere abroad. But it’s too early to talk about anything concrete, you need to wait about two weeks,” Jonsson said.

Earlier, FIFA allowed legionnaires to suspend agreements with Russian clubs due to the situation in Ukraine and sign new contracts with foreign teams until June 30, 2022, after which it extended the permit for another year. This right was used by a large group of foreign players who played in the RPL.
