Striker Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract with the English “Liverpool”, according to the website of the football club.
The Reds did not specify the term of the agreement, but according to media reports, the Egyptian will remain with the team for another three seasons.
“I am happy to win trophies with the club. This is a happy day for everyone. The renewal of the agreement takes a little time, but now everything is done, so we just need to focus on further goals. I think you can see that over the last five or six years the team has been moving up continuously. Last season we came close to winning four trophies but unfortunately in the last week of the season we lost two.
We are in a good position to fight for all the titles. We just need to keep working hard, stay positive and fight again on all fronts,” said the 30-year-old striker.
Salah moved to Liverpool from Roma in 2017. As part of the Merseysiders, the player played 256 matches and scored 156 goals, became the champion of England, winner of the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup, winner of the UEFA Super Cup. The striker became the top scorer of the English Premier League three times (twice he shared this title), two times he was recognized as the best player in Africa. As part of the Egyptian national team, Salah played 85 matches, scored 47 goals.
