Former Khimki defender Yuri Zhirkov told the details of his departure from the club near Moscow.
The contract was concluded with the “1 + 1” system. Indeed, if either team wanted to extend it, the +1 option would come into effect for next season, provided Khimki remains in the Premier League. For my part, I said that I would not like to renew the agreement. This Khimki, as far as I understand, did not disappoint. Consequently, the contract was not renewed.
Why didn’t you want to renew the contract? I came to the club under Vladimir Gabulov. Then everything changed, including the technical staff. And for me too – you saw how many times later I entered the game application. I don’t see the point of being in such a situation at the club, when you are definitely not going to play.
