Rolan Gusev doesn’t know if Chalov will play for CSKA under Vladimir Fedotov

Former CSKA football player Rolan Gusev is not sure that forward Fedor Chalov, who returned to the club, will play under the new head coach of the team, Vladimir Fedotov.

– I don’t even know if Chalov will play under Fedotov, time will tell. Should I return to Russia? Why is Basel better than CSKA? Eurocups – understandable. If he returns, it means that something did not work out for him. I don’t know all the moments, Gusev told the Championship.

24-year-old striker Chalov is a graduate of CSKA, he moved to Basel on loan in February.

In the 2021/22 season, Chalov played in 16 matches for the Swiss team in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing two assists. Chalov’s current agreement with CSKA runs until June 30, 2024. According to Transfermarkt, the player is worth 6 million euros.

Vladimir Fedotov signed a long-term contract with CSKA Moscow on June 15, 2022. Prior to that, he worked as a head coach at Sochi and took second place with the team in the RPL.
