Urals President: “The League Cup will benefit Russian football”

President of the Urals Grigory Ivanov positive attitude towards the idea of holding the Cup RPL.

The League Cup will be useful to Russian football if it brings commercial benefits. If so, then I’m in favor. And if this is a tournament for the sake of playing extra games and spending extra money, then it makes no sense and we will be against it.

In principle, I am in favor of expanding the championship to 18 teams and that the Russian Cup will take place differently. But if the League Cup brings dividends to the clubs, then we will be in favor. Also because young players can practice in such a tournament. The most important thing is that the clubs can make money, then this will make sense and I will support it.
