Lineker jokingly offered Manchester United a contract with Mickey Mouse
Former England striker laughed at Manchester United, offering the English team to sign a contract with Mickey Mouse.
This is how Lineker reacted to the fact that Manchester United have not yet acquired anyone in the summer transfer window.
“Finally, Manchester United can sign someone,” Lineker joked on his Twitter, attaching a link to an article that Disney was close to losing the rights to its most famous mouse character, Mickey Mouse.
The United States copyright law limits intellectual property rights to artistic works to 95 years. Mickey Mouse should be in the public domain by 2024.
Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League last season and failed to qualify for the Champions League.
