Forward Gabriel Jesus has moved to Arsenal, according to the press service of the London club.
The contract of the 25-year-old Brazilian is long-term. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jesus’ deal with Arsenal will run until 2027. Jesus will wear number 9 and will soon join pre-season training.
– I am so excited. The club has done a great job to sign a player of this stature. I personally know Gabriel very well and we all know him well from his Premier League performances. We have been looking for a player for this position for a long time, and finally we managed to get the player we wanted, so I’m really happy,” said Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta.
Previously, the striker has played for Manchester City since 2017, scoring 95 goals in 236 matches. Jesus has won the Premier League four times, the League Cup three times, the Super Bowl twice and the National Cup once. He played 56 games for Brazil and scored 19 goals.
