PARI NN head coach Galaktionov approved the holding of the RPL Cup
The head coach of PARI NN Mikhail Galaktionov shared his opinion about the possible appearance of a new tournament in Russia – the RPL Cup, his words were quoted by Sport24.
In May, the executive committee of the RFU discussed the creation of a new tournament – the League Cup. The tournament will be held if funding is secured.
– The position of our club in holding the RPL Cup is positive. At this stage, we believe that such a tournament is necessary, there is interest from the clubs in it. From the point of view of the sports component, this will add more matches, there will be a more intense and interesting competitive effect. And given the uncertainty of the format of international matches, the participation of teams in them, the RPL Cup can fill in the pauses and make the calendar more eventful.
Another tournament is another trophy for clubs to compete for. And how interesting and attractive it can become for spectators and participants is the task of the organizers,” said Galaktionov.
