Former Liverpool and Spain football player Albert Riera ended his first press conference as head coach of Olimpia Ljubljana ahead of schedule due to the fans of the Slovenian club rushing into the hall.
The incident occurred on Monday, when Riera, along with the management of Olimpia, answered questions from journalists. At some point, representatives of the ultras club in balaclavas appeared in the room. They gestured to Riera that he should leave the hall, which the 40-year-old specialist did.
— I have never seen a club that allows ultras to enter the press center. I got up and left the press conference because there were no more sports questions. I didn’t feel fear. It seems that fans are very outraged by the dismissal of Robert Prosinecki as coach. Claims ultras to the leadership and the president of the club. The question is not for me, — quotes the words of Riera Marca.
Olimpia finished third in the Slovenian championship last season.
