“In a word, disgrace.” CSKA is getting cheaper before our eyes, and the new coach can only grab his head
“CSKA” lose control matches and don’t even score. Maybe Fedotov should have stayed at Sochi?
Last season, CSKA failed to please its fans. The Berezutsky brothers enjoyed the unshakable trust of the stands thanks to their playing past, but the club’s legends did not work a miracle on the coaching bridge. Therefore, many fans accepted the news of the arrival of Vladimir Fedotov with enthusiasm, the second place with Sochi last season significantly added credibility to the 55-year-old specialist.
However, less than a month later, a huge question mark hung over Fedotov. CSKA did not score a single goal in three control games, but conceded as many as seven goals – two each from Veles and Pari NN, three from Zenit. At the same time, legionnaires are leaving the team en masse, in less than a month the CSKA squad has fallen in price by half! Vladimir Valentinovich can only clutch his head.
Maybe the coach should have stayed in the warm and calm Sochi?
Fedotov is not to blame for anything
Is it possible to make claims to the coach because of the results of test matches? As they say, you can, just be careful. If you criticize the work of Fedotov, then only through the prism of the quality of the game, and not the numbers on the scoreboard. Yes, the “army team” really do not shine with quality, but:
a) while the players are out of shape;
b) there is no one to play corny.
I think the second point is the main one today, CSKA has huge problems with the squad. There is no one to release as a basis, not to mention the length of the bench. Look at the combination of CSKA finishing the matches with Zenit and Pari NN: there are only young people on the field, the names of these players have never been heard by many. The only ray of light is Fedor Chalov’s return to Moscow. And then they say that Basel can redeem the striker.
In my opinion, FIFA (permission to suspend contracts by legionnaires) and sanctions against VEB are to blame for everything. The club was unable to agree with Yusuf Yazici, most likely due to a cut budget, lost Mario Fernandez, who was tired due to the tense situation, plus parted ways with Ilzat Akhmetov, Alan Dzagoev, Herdur Magnusson, who, although they were not key players, would now definitely came in handy. It is not clear what will happen to Yaka Biyol, who is being matched with Udinese.
In a month, the price of the Muscovites has more than doubled – from 140 million euros to 62.5 million, and the last straw was the suspension of the contracts of Arnor Sigurdsson and Chidera Ejuke.
How did Ejuke react to leaving? Accepted as a given, what can be done in this situation? In a word – a disgrace, – quotes the words of Fedotov “Match TV”.
You will not envy the leadership of CSKA
The coach explicitly states that every position in the team needs strengthening. There is a little more than a week before the start of the season, and transfers are a big problem. There is almost no information about specific negotiations with anyone; ex-midfielder of Krasnodar Yuri Gazinsky and defender of Rostov Maxim Osipenko appear in the lists of potential newcomers. It is logical to think that Fedotov will apply for a reinforcement in Sochi, but the southerners can easily strike a pose. In general, you will not envy the leadership of the “army men”. Work on the transfer market this season is almost the most difficult in recent years.
– Work on strengthening is underway, but so far everything is somehow very difficult. Not everything is as close as we want it to be. It starts to warm up, and then all over again. And time is running out. There will be help, there will be transfers, but this help will be available during the championship. We need to bring the current squad to the first match so that everyone is healthy: both Shchennikov and Nababkin. This is our resource, we must bring them to the ranks by the 16th,” Fedotov said.
Turbulence in CSKA suggests: why did the coach leave Sochi at all? I would work quietly in a warm place: everything is in order, the fans are not demanding, the sea is nearby … However, Fedotov is a professional, and if he steadfastly survives the dark times, fate will definitely thank him. Yes, and it’s time to prove to yourself that you can succeed not only in the provinces, but also in a large metropolitan club.
