RFS plans to change the format of the Russian Cup. This measure is considered an alternative to the League Cup, which has many organizational problems.

The updated cup tournament will take place according to the double elimination system, dividing the tournament group into the “Path RPLand The Path of the First and Second Leagues.

The draw in the lower round of the tournament starts with the 1/4 final round, however, each round will be divided into two additional rounds. In the first stage of the quarter-finals of the lower group, the teams that finished third in the group stage “Ways RPLand the first four teams of the First and Second League Paths. In the second round of the lower 1/4 round of the tournament, the losers in the quarter-finals of the upper round are added to the teams. In the semi-finals and finals of the lower group, this principle is repeated. The winner of the lower round of the tournament plays in the super final with the winner of the upper round.
