Ponomarev: “Our players are not worth the money they are paid now”

Former player CSKA Vladimir Ponomarev shared his thoughts on salaries and legionnaires RPL.

Don’t invite legionaries to Russian football. In the 60s and 70s there was great football, just great. Then at the European Championships we took first place, second place was when Beskov was removed from work. So was football and there were no foreigners.

Then we took this stupid career path. Previously, there was such a system: whoever did not play in the first team, played for doubles. Pursued by dirty professional football, for a lot of money.

Right now inside CSKA there is a good academy. You can easily find 3-4 players for the army base, but you have to work with them. No game is achieved just because everyone thinks of a lot of money. Everyone had the same salary, but now the money has corrupted everyone in hell.

Our players are not worth the money that is now being paid. Pricing has to change. They shouldn’t be getting more than $ 10,000 a month.

Spartak will not terminate Chernov’s loan from Wings of the Soviets

Moscow football club Spartak will not terminate the loan of the defender Nikita Chernov from Samara “Wings of the Soviets”. The sporting director told journalists Francesco Caigao.

FIFA has imposed a transfer ban on Rostov

International Football Federation (FIFA) imposed a transfer ban on the Russian football club Rostov. This was reported by the press service FIFA.

The ban came into effect on January 13. The reasons for the sanctions are not specified.
