The captain of the Zambia women’s football team, Barbara Banda, will not take part in the African Championship (CAF) due to the failure of a gender test, according to Mundo Deportivo.
It is reported that an excessively high level of testosterone was detected in the blood test of the football player.
“I can’t name the real reason for her absence from the tournament,” Zambia head coach Bruce Mwape Mundo Deportivo quotes.
It is reported that the Zambia Football Federation also received a warning against two more players.
