Amateur club “Amkal” can play in the Cup of Russia on football
The former president of the FNL, Alexander Alaev, said that the amateur club Amkal and the winner of the Medialeague can play in the Russian Football Cup.
“There is an idea for the winner of the media league and Amkal to enter one of the stages of the Russian Cup,” said Alaev, quoted by the Match TV website.
In May, the executive committee of the RFU discussed the creation of a new tournament – the League Cup. The tournament will be held if funding is secured. Alaev noted that the League Cup format could become the main one for RPL clubs.
Amkal is an amateur team made up of football bloggers. The creator is German “EL Clasico”.
