Former Spartak footballer Alessandro Mostovoj commented on the defeat of the “red-white” veterans in the match against the “Zenith” veterans (0: 2).
I enjoyed the game, a lot of the guys were fine. It was assumed that Zenith would be more lively at the expense of Arshavin and Kerzhakov. Spartak lacked a striker who could beat, score, hit. Everything rested on a good retention of the ball, combinations, but in the end it was not enough.
It’s a veteran game, so I wasn’t expecting anything else. I thought Spartak would score, there would be more goals. When people are under 50, I’m a 7×7 or 8×8 format adherent, so the pitch is smaller and there would be more goals.
As part of Zenit, I would choose Arshavin and Kerzhakov, one gave great, the second scored. I am surprised that Romka Shirokov scored well. I wasn’t sure if he would play, because he had recently had an operation and then he scored a goal.
