Zenit-2 head coach Vladislav Radimov reacted to the words of ex-player of the main team Magomed Ozdoev about young players.
Earlier, Ozdoev said that the young players of Zenit were not conscientious about training and had problems with discipline.
– This is the opinion of Ozdoev, he sees it from the outside. But here he says – young people should come to training earlier than anyone else … But, for example, I don’t see the point in this, you have to prove it with your game. Or after training, stay for half an hour, an hour, if you want to work more. For example, I did not come before everyone else when I was 18 years old. Well, if I put on my boots before others, they won’t let me out to train earlier anyway. If you oversleep, as Ozdoev says again, then, of course, no one will pat you on the head. But, again, the main thing is skill. I know for sure, the same Bystrov, when he was young, did not come to training before everyone else. But this did not prevent Bystrov from becoming a good football player.
– Did you discuss this moment with your players after Ozdoev’s interview?
– Not. For me, the indicator is how they manifest themselves during the lesson, whether they remain after. If needed. But if you are exhausted, you have no strength, you have given all your best – why force yourself? Only to the detriment. In general, I think that Ozdoev didn’t quite mean it – he said that young people should show themselves and show themselves more, and come to train before everyone else – this makes no sense, – RB Sport quoted Radimov as saying.
