“It is not clear who Dynamo will play, there is a shortage of central defenders” – Khokhlov

Former Dynamo coach Dmitry Khokhlov shared his expectations from the Dynamo game in the upcoming season, and also commented on the suspension of the contract of defender Fabian Balbuena with the Moscow team.
The 30-year-old Paraguayan took advantage of FIFA’s decision and suspended his employment contract with the Moscow club for the 2022/23 season. Last season, the defender made 31 appearances in club competitions and scored 3 goals.
“Obviously, it’s a loss. Because there is already a shortage of central defenders: Evgeniev is gone, Balbuena is leaving. I don’t understand who will play. We need to find someone for this position. Will Dynamo be able to compete with Zenit in the new season? Until the championship started. If there are such losses as Balbuena, Szymanski, then they are unlikely to compete, ”Championship” quotes Khokhlov as saying.
