Dani Alves admitted that he did not like the way Barcelona spent his farewell. He also noted that the club shows itself from the negative side when dealing with the stars of the team.

– For five years I dreamed of experiencing this second return to the club. The only thing I didn’t like was the way my goodbye went. From the moment I arrived, I made it clear that I am no longer a 20 year old and that I want everything to be done openly without hiding anything. But this club has made that mistake in recent years. Barcelona don’t give a damn about the people who left their mark on the history of the club.

I would like Barcelona to do things differently. I’m not talking about myself. The club needs to improve its work off the field. Everything that happens on the pitch is a reflection of what happens off the pitch,” the Brazilian said.

Alves won 23 trophies with Barca from 2008 to 2016 before returning in 2021. The defender left the club in mid-June.
