RPL has completed accepting applications for participation in the election of the president of the league, Alaev is the only candidate
The Electoral Commission of the Russian Premier League (RPL) has completed the acceptance of applications for participation in the election of the president of the league, the press service of the organization reports.
Only one candidate will participate in the elections – Alexander Alexandrovich Alaev, who has been acting president of the RPL since July 7.
– The candidate for the post of president of the RPL was registered by the election commission of the AFC RPL and sent to the election committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU), the RPL said in a statement.
In June, Ashot Khachaturyants left the post of head of the league. The election of the head of the RPL will be held at an extraordinary meeting of the general meeting of clubs on August 16.
