A member of the Khimki supervisory board, Roman Teryushkov, explained the removal of defender Elmir Nabiullin from training with the main team by saying that the club wants to rotate.

– We have a sports principle. The depth of the composition in Khimki is quite large. We have tasks for the second team. We want to shuffle the roster in such a way that substitutions who don’t make it to the starting lineup have practice with the second team. The regulation allows this.

Elmira still has a disqualification. Our task is to rotate the line-up so that the players get practice, so that the second team has good performers,” Teryushkov told the “Championship”.

In May last year, Nabiullin was suspended for six RPL matches for a gross violation against Ufa goalkeeper Alexander Belenov. Last season, the 27-year-old defender played 21 matches for the Moscow Region club.

In the first round of the WORLD RPL, Khimki will host Zenit on Friday.
