“Let Ejuke go and not come back” – Sozin
Andrey Sozin, a member of the ethics committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU), commented on the decision of CSKA forward Chidera Ejuke to suspend the contract with the club and move to Hertha.
Ejuke joined the German club on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season. Hertha is coached by former Dynamo Moscow head coach Sandro Schwartz.
“I did not expect the current generation of legionnaires, which includes Ejuke, to put their interests and finances below the team. The times when Vagner Love left and returned at the mere request of Giner are over. We no longer have such players – and this says a lot about the poor selection work. Gaich, who doesn’t know how to score, Fuchs, who played three games in two years… Ejuke is better, but what did he do for CSKA? Scored 10 goals? Let him leave and not return, – quotes the words of Sozin “Championship”.
Ejuke made 32 appearances last season, scoring five goals and making the same number of assists.
