Spartak will appeal to the Expert Referee Commission of the Russian Football Union (ESK RFU) after the match of the first round of the WORLD RPL with Akhmat.
Saturday’s meeting in Grozny ended in a draw – 1:1. The main referee of the meeting Vladislav Bezborodov at the end of the first half in 10 seconds showed two yellow cards to the Spartak defender Maciej Rybus. The club conceded a goal in the 4th added minute to the first half, although the referees compensated for three minutes. Spartak veteran Evgeny Lovchev, in a commentary to Match TV, expressed the opinion that the referee should have put two penalties in favor of the guests. Among other things, Lovchev was surprised by the decision of Bezborodov not to remove the goalkeeper of Akhmat Shelia for hitting the shin forward of Spartak Sobolev. The arbitrator took advantage of the video preview, and eventually showed both players a yellow card.
“Yes, of course, we will apply to the ESC,” Dmitry Zelenov, press attache of the Red-Whites, told reporters.
