Bronze medalist of the 2018 World Cup moved to Antwerp

Defender Toby Alderweireld has joined Antwerp, according to the press service of the Belgian football club.
The contract with the 33-year-old footballer is for three seasons.
Last season, the defender spent in the Qatari club Al-Duhail, previously played for Ajax, Atlético Madrid, Southampton and Tottenham. As part of the Spanish and London clubs, the footballer reached the Champions League final. Alderweireld played 121 matches for the Belgian national team, won the bronze medal at the 2018 World Cup in Russia as part of the team.
In the 2021/22 season, Antwerp finished fourth in the Belgian championship.
